Welcome to the Bellingham Chapter of the Puget Sound Anglers

The Puget Sound Anglers (PSA) Association was started in 1985. PSA is a non-profit association organized under the laws of Washington State and comprised of independent chapters, with common goals and interests, bound only by integrity and fellowship, with the goal of preserving, protecting and enhancing the sport fisheries of Washington State. There are currently 16 chapters organized throughout western Washington.

Member chapters have been involved in stream enhancements, educational forums, state and federal legislation, on fish advisory groups, teaching kids to fish and assisting developmentally disabled persons catch their first fish. The response to PSA has been overwhelming and the organization has become known as the “voice of Washington sport anglers”.

While each chapter remains independent, a State Board was formed with members from each of the chapters as representatives and is responsible to those chapters. The State Board is to assist in forming new chapters and promote membership. In addition, it is to help communications among the chapters regarding fund raising and projects of interest to all. As a statewide organization we are currently working with political interests to protect and enhance the sportsman’s fishing interest.

The Bellingham Chapter was organized in 1995.  We generally meet once a month where we feature a guest speaker to talk about fishing or related activities. We have excellent speakers, many who have authored books on fishing, fishing guides and others who divulge their secret fishing tips (and sometimes their secret fishing spots). If you want to learn about fishing or want to become a better fisherman, you will find the information extremely useful.

Our Club meets the third Thursday of most months, at 6:30 PM at Round Table Pizza, at Sunset Square in Bellingham.  Club members often arrive around 6:00 pm to socialize and order beverages or dinner. We usually do not meeting in August, and we occasional skip a month or reschedule for special events (such as our winter potluck).  It is best to email BellinghamPSA@gmail.com to confirm meeting dates.
